2000-2006 Twin Cam 88B Carburetor Keihin CV40 Good with Known Issues Recommended if tensioners upgraded Twin Cam 88B uses spring-loaded cam chain tensioners. These require periodic inspection and replacement. Many bikes have already been upgraded.
2001-2006 Twin Cam 88B EFI Delphi Speed Density EFI Good with Known Issues Recommended if tensioners upgraded First EFI Fat Boy generation. Uses Delphi EFI, which is much better than Magneti Marelli. Still affected by Twin Cam cam chain tensioner wear.
2007-2011 Twin Cam 96B EFI Delphi Closed-Loop EFI Very Good Highly Recommended Hydraulic cam chain tensioners introduced. Much safer and more reliable than earlier Twin Cam 88 models.
2012-2017 Twin Cam 103B / 110 EFI Delphi Rushmore EFI Excellent Highly Recommended Most refined Twin Cam Softail generation. Excellent power and reliability.
2018-Present Milwaukee-Eight 107 / 114 / 117 EFI Delphi Milwaukee-Eight EFI Excellent Highly Recommended Completely redesigned Softail platform. Smoothest and most modern Fat Boy generation.

2001-2006 Twin Cam 88 EFI Delphi Speed Density EFI Good with Known Issues Recommended if tensioners upgraded Big EFI improvement over Magneti Marelli. Still uses spring-loaded cam chain tensioners.
